ZWHS-I love my school
I am very happy to be part of Zwaanswyk High School. I have to work hard every day but I love it. I thought that I could not get into university but this school has shown me that I can be a lawyer. I am determined to make myself, my mom and my school proud.
Zwaanswyk High School
This is one of the best schools in Cape Town. It doesn't matter which community we come from or what our background is, the Principal and staff make a plan to help you and care for you. I am given the best chance every day. I appreciate everyone at this school. Thank you Principal Otto and my teachers for everything you do for us.
My experience
Zwaanswyk High school is one of those schools that looks good from the outside but it's rotten within. They focus on the schools image and not the children even though they claim that the children are the center of everything they do. If your child really wants to enjoy high school or have the full high school experience without feeling like they are in prison, zwaanswyk is not the place to go. Teachers are leaving every month and your child will be left with no teacher to teach them the things they need to pass the grade. The principal says mean things to the learners like they won't ever be able to become something or they useless. The principal needs to understand that Rome wasnt built in a day and things take time instead of forcing the learners to do what she wants them to do. Security guards says inappropriate things to learners on their way in and out of school. I made a mistake by thinking zwaanswyk High school was my best option.
My experience.
Zwaanswyk High school seem to be this perfect school yet they don't build you up instead they push you down, when a mistake is maken, instead of encouraging learners we get told we not good enough, I was told I wasn't gonna be something in the future. They think everything is based off uniform and my friend couldn't afford much, they didn't bother asking him howcome he doesn't have all his uniform or books they just embarrassed him saying he is a "disgrace to the school brand" If you want to completely destroy your child's mental health and break them down send them to zwaanswyk high school

At first I could say that Zwaanswyk high was a really good school. I loved school , infact school was my get away from the life that I had back home. We had such amazing educators and most of them were so involved in the goals and dreams that we had wanted to accomplish. At the time we still had Dr as our principal. I still had big goals and future desires for myself. Until we received a new principal. Wow she was something else really hey. She was firm in her job she had good visions for our school but her attitude towards her staff and the learners were terribly wrong. She had her own perspective on everything which is a norm everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. But however this women , eish. She forgot she was dealing with a bunch of teenagers that rebel sometimes but she had no remorse. She expelled me just like that she didn't even give me a hearing. This woman is cold hearted , where I am today I can't blame her. But she most definitely played the biggest role in where I am today.

Zwaanswyk High school is an amazing school.The teachers are very involved especially during this period of Covid-19 lockdown, always communicating with both parents and learners. Zwaanswyk has a very high standard and does bot accept anything less.
