Their focus is mainly academics and sports. The staff is alright, but sometimes it seems like they don't care much about the students, more about the ones who do well. The moment you don't do well you suck. When you do well you're praised. It would be nice if all students are able to feel appreciated for their efforts, since a lot of students are not the best when it comes to memory, but they can do well with their hands. It would also be awesome if girls could express themselves more, the school is strict with girls. Especially on their hair. Girls can't even wear extensions. Wish their sweatsuits were a bit cheaper, or all students can wear certain colored hoodies since not all of them can afford the school jacket. Wish that students aren't pressured a lot when it comes to work. Wish they would also pay more attention to helping matrics since a lot of them don't even know about the NBS, they were left in the dark even if it was a choice to take the test, but this is for students going to university.
Vredendal High School is a strict school with discipline and rules. Everyone respects one another and the courses are great. Their main focuses are set ons academics, sports and culture. You have an interest? They will happily encourage you. They give prizes for achievements to encourage you too. The matric results were 100% this year and everyone passed with flying colours. There is a lot of space and classrooms are neat and clean. Academics are really a big focus so the personnel puts in a lot of effort to help everyone. They need more appreciation. It's a great school to send your child/ren to, I personally recommend it since I myself is a student there.
