With my experience as a final year student at the University of the Free State, I can say with confidence that it has the worst Genetics Department. I would not recommend anyone who wants to pursue in a career of genetics to study at this Genetics Department. No experience is gained from practical classes due to an inefficient amount of equipment. Emails regarding queries are left unanswered and no extra resources to study from are given when asked for.
The school is full of racism and corruption. The students are never taken care of even when they deserve it. We do a months work in 2 weeks putting insane amounts of pressure on students.
Quality of education has deteriorated over the last 4 years and most reputable staff left. There is no campus culture left and residences have turned in unhygienic dumps. Bathrooms are always dirty, staff members are rude. Library is outdated and seating areas are always littered with trash. Can't expect more from a university that values inclusion and transformation over the quality of education.
She conquers who conquers herself.
Standing at 145 years old, is an All-Girls school in the heart of Bloemfontein, the City of Roses. One where my blood will forever run green.
Eunice is a school of excellence where stars are born and sisterhoods are created. I cannot imagine myself at another school. Being in an All girls school is nothing like a Co-Ed, no weird looks during Biology lessons because of Human Reproduction, or deciding to chill with your boyfriend at break time. We were not allowed to cross over to our neighboring boys school but that was surely the best option for us being so young. Handing in phones at the beginning of class in the cellphone box was what we hated the most but this was to our benefit in order to concentrate in class. Though we were limited to social gathering with the opposite gender, this surely created a strong bond between the girls, one which created competition, motivation, memories and laughter. Being in such a stressful school environment helped breed the kind of capable woman I am today. It has given me the tools to function in highstake, high stress situation but still achieving my little achievements.
There’s no other school so dear.
This allowed me to adjust perfectly as a Kovsie Student
Wow i remember the first time i went the
The atmosphere
Everyone is friendly like they greet you with A smile and i found myself adapting to that. It is a strict university but im not complaining because they care about our safety. Their security is wayy tooo tight yes the students safety comes first. Now to mention our facilitators woow they are the most friendliest people on earth . I myself have opened a WhatsApp group for grade 12's To help them For 2021 Applications i can't wait for them To chase their degrees with best qualifications thumbs up .

and their residences but what can i say only kosvie knows the feeling .
The university of free state is best university. The atmosphere is lively and it is diverse with many students with different backgrounds. It has a great history and many successful people studied there. Lecturers are friendly and you immediately feel at home.
This is the most strict university, but it is totally professional. First week on campus can be stressful but that's when we get the chance to communicate with others.
