I'm going to be brutally honest with this review as I don't think it's fair to lie to people.
Unisa's service and delivery are exceptionally poor.
Assignments and exams are extended/delayed every semester as Unisa can not deliver people's study materials on time.
Lectures very rarely answer emails or calls, which is a problem as these are the only ways students can contact them.
Assessment and exam results take unbelievably long as Unisa keeps on taking new students and cannot handle the volume.
For a University which is online-based, their technology is lacking. A prime example is their website that crashes often due to their outdated server not being able to handle the volume of students using it.
Unisa's strength and appeal lies in it's ability to offer an education to people who cannot travel to a university daily or who need to work while studying.
I'd say they REALLY are TRYING all their best to help us pass our assignments and examination as they now created a one on one sessions so that we can be able to perform at our level best, and having a 24hours library excess has really help us alot.
Unisa has an amazing online system which has never failed me. I'm a first year student at UniSA studying towards a BeD foundation phase degree. UniSA also has the most affordable tution compared to other universities in South Africa and very helpful and dedicated lecturers who assist you well. I feel UniSA is such an amazing amazing university, very helpful, affordable and reliable.
