Problem solving with Teneo was absolutely an experience in frustration. The school likes to limit or remove your ability to contact them if there are issues. I had occasion to write to Teneo on Friday as the Education Department and SACAI informed me that my daughter's matric certification would have been derived to ateneo to send onto me. They did not do that and now that I'm registering my daughter for her studies, I need the certification. They just said this morning they don't have them . No following g up no guidance, just a "it's your problem response ". Of the 5 email address I had for a teneo, only 1 is functioning now. My cousins child was with Teneo for 2 years. She went from top preformed at Abbots to barley passing within that time. I dont recommend this platform. You will regret it.

my 10yr old kid joined the school and there education level for gr.5 was like gr.2 and the break was like 5 min she left after 3 days and we still had to continue paying the fees a hope that any mom or dad wanting there kid to homeschool will not let there kid in this school in gr.5 my kid was learning how to spell verbs

Warning to anyone thinking about joining. ITS NOT WORTH IT. i can’t even begin to describe the utter nightmare this school has caused me. this whole year i did pretty decent on all terms, but all of a sudden during the last term ive gotten countless irregularities across all subjects. and for such petty reasons too! all these irregularities resulted in me attaining zero on those exams. meaning a fail. flagging a student for not closing their BROWSER TAB!! their reasoning is so kak. also this thing of them using a AI detector to see if you used ai on a test is insane. we all know it’s not accurate and students are very much capable of using “big words”. they’re know for failing many students towards the end of the year it doesn’t matter if you’re smart Teneo is a money hungry website it isn’t even a school, schools don’t intentionally make their students fail! apparently they also rely on ai for marking, invigilator and teaching.?

Their communication is shocking. Their accounts department needs to be audited as they don't reconcile their accounts correctly and implement incorrect billing, even if you have provided evidence and full audit of your account. Their support is non existent and would never ever recommend this school to anyone.

I started Teneo Education in 2024 for my matric year, and the service was horrible. My father and I were both in shock at how assignments, tests and oral presentation marks change after they've been marked. For example, my oral presentation was out of 50 and I received 37/50 for term one, but then I received a message on the Canvas Student App that I received 10/50 in term two. When I told them what had happened they told me to send the presentation again and I did. It's now term four and the marks haven't changed. My dad sent emails to them multiple times and they have not responded. This has happened to the tests that I've written as well, and some they claimed was “missing”. THIS IS NOT A GOOD AND WELL-ORGANISED ONLINE SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS WHO WISH TO ENROLL, YOU WILL REGRET SPENDING YOUR MONEY IF YOU DID!!!

this school is terrible , firstly teachers dont come to class and leave the students to do the work by themselves, they never check how students feel and have total disrespect for students and parents alike, they dont help with revision and help. the communication is terrible and i wish i never joined teneo online school

Having the worst experience with this online school, super expensive and just no real support and help for students. Especially for students that are using the platform for the first time. I'm truly hating it. I wish I didn't spend so much money on it.

Teneo does not refund the money if you decide to de_register your child. They don't answer phone calls, i won't recommend this online school to even my enemies.

I have been trying to contact Teneo and have wasted a lot of money in airtime. I have repeatedly sent emails and nobody answers my calls. I has a problem logging into Canvas as it requires another email address which is probably not on their data base. How is she supposed to do online school with such poor service. I am so irritated and frustrated now

I'm having constant issues regarding payments that's not allocated correctly or statements not showing amounts due. All activities is then stopped and you would not know beforehand that there was an actual issue so then you can't log into their platform. Accounts issues can't be resolved telephonically, via email or whatsapp although it's mentioned you can. They have a ticket system which is promptly closed after they sent an email to you. If the problem is not resolved or you have further queries about they same incident, you need to log another ticket. Each ticket takes 2 days for them to resolve if not longer. After trying to contact them telephonically and holding on for 45min a robot just tells you that "we are currently unable to assist you sorry bye" and the line goes dead. With the amount of frustration just to get up and running and for the same thing to happen over and over again I don't recommend this school.

Terrible experience Took them 3 weeks to register my child. Work or curriculum covered does not nearly compare to the work covered in mainstream school suppose to do CAPS. No personal attention or communication with teachers no support. My child failed for the 1st time in her school career. Exams a nightmare. She supposedly did not submit papers which she did and the gave her 0!!!! You can not contact a human to do enquiries and have to wait for machines to direct your queries . Terrible after 1 term we are back at mainstream.

If there was a 0 star rating, it would be too high for them. Teneo is the most frustrating institution I have ever had to deal with. Don't be fooled by their marketing of being the best. Administration/accounts wise, you will pull your hair out! I've been trying to sort things out for months and my child isn't even a student of theirs anymore. There is no email or call options for assistance, you have to log tickets on their system which yields nothing. They just ghost you and are the masters of the system generated auto replies. 1000% do not recommend them!

Absolutely useless and as far as i am conecerned a total SCAM!!!! My daughter has neen robbed of a whole year of schooling as she now has to repeat grade 8 because her 4th term aggregate was 2%.... How is that even possible???? I witnessed her writing every single exam and she studied very hard only to get 2%..... I did not receive a 2nd or 3rd term report and had to fight for a 4the term report only to get that....impossible!!! Cant get through to anyone via phone or e-mail or any other communication portals which are supposedely available. I am totally disappointed and disgusted by TENEO!!!!!

Even if you make arrangements regarding fees if you r behind they will still take access sway. This has a huge impact on your child falling behind and they will not even give extensions on sba once payments have been made. Your child will do badly and teachers they don't care if the child performance has dropped. None of the teachers will even question, so it's about getting paid and not caring about the child future. I will not advise any parent to take their child to Teneo maybe other online school. My child missed two terms due to school fees because of financial situation. Even when I pleaded with the school to give me his report in January so I can remove my child to the public school since I can't afford the fees because I lost my job, they refused and I'm stuck with the school. He started in Mach. Third term he stayed home for five weeks because they expelled him from their system again. This is so frustrating because you also can't speak to anyone who will listen to your concerns and put the child future first. School performance is back, Service bad, some of the teachers bad, I can list name because I'm always listening to my son classes.

I joined Teneo this year and so far I love it! I have been in a brick and mortar school for most of my life but decided to change to online schooling and so far it is the best decision I made with my education. I read some other reviews and I must say that the communication issues have improved, as I have required assistance before and got a response within the hour. Canvas is easy to understand, I found that the "Canvas 101" canvas training course definitely helps you to figure out where everything is. The only thing is that within the first week of school courses are still loading and so you might not be able to access them right away. I think the teachers are great and always willing to help and explain things if you don't understand or aren't sure, more than what I experienced at a brick and mortar school. The SBAs can be overwhelming at times but realistically it was the same at a brick and mortar school, if not worse as I had less time to complete them all. The only downside is if you are behind in school fees, they will prevent you from accessing your courses, which can be frustrating in a financial situation, but I can also understand as some people might abuse being allowed to continue without payments. I think most people base their bad reviews on a bad experience, which happens at other schools as well, and don't give themselves the chance to settle in and adjust. I understand that an online school won't be for everyone but if you are interested I recommend definitely checking it out.

All students have a lot of SBA's all the teachers know that so the math teachers go and say submit your homework how are we supposed to do it if we have a long list of SBA's then if you don't submit they will email your parents and you will get into trouble and your parents will shout at you. Then in the next math class the teacher will shout at you.

when I'm in class and don't understand a question the teacher would get angry. when I tell the teacher she's going to fast she says I should be faster, mind you this is a FAL class and I'm not that good. I'm not Flash and I don't even understand half the content. now I'm too scared to even ask a question because I feel like I would be shouted at.

Very bad service and communication. Whenever I have an issue and I try make contact they either ignore or just randomly ghost mid converstation.
