The school is situated in a semi urban area. The socio economic status is unfavorable whereby almost 90% of the parents are unemployed. There are vulnerable learners where we find child headed families and orphans. The rate of substance abuse and teenage pregnancy is very high. It is a community of high illiteracy rate. Despite the environmental conditions which are not condusive the school employs quality teachers who are passionate about their work in ensuring that the education of the child is moved to a higher level. A high level of discipline is maintained with the support of the Gauteng Department of Education. We strive for excellence as the school has obtained 97.7% in 2019, 2018 it was 84% with 76% in 2017. Team work, dedication and strategic collaboration with stakeholders such as SGB, Health Care, Social Development, NGOs Church Organisation's, Political parties, Saps makes it a joint effort to be successful. The availability of Parental support despite the fact that majority of them are without jobs makes it sustainable. The school is having almost 1300 learners with only 12 classes which are brick and motar and 8 of them have been fitted with smart boards and 16 classes are mobile classes which cannot be fiitwd with smart boards for security purposes. Learners are checked by patrollers if they do not bring drugs or weapons on a regular basis. Teaching and learning takes place in a condisive environment that is why it strives for excellence. It is a school of high achievers.
