Fantastic school - to parent working relationship

I have nothing but good things to say about the school. Any question has always been answered, every time my child needed extra help, it has aways been given. The door is always open.

St John The Baptist

This is the worst school ever.As I learner who was in that school in 2021,I do not recommend the school at all.
I can not even begin to mention about the acting principal, she is a racist and sexist.
This lady always uses the “catholic religion” as to what she says.
I remember my very first day at the school, there were a few papers on the ground, after break as all the learners lined up she told us how dirty and graceful we are, mind you it was the very first day of school and a majority of the learners were new.
Don’t get me started on how 99.9% of the school is black learners only.
In their code of conduct it mentions that “afro’s are prohibited”
As young black girls,it still worries us that our hair is still deemed as “too much” or “to big”.
Meaning that black girls with afros should meet their expectations by straightening hair.
Not every learner attending that school is catholic, but still respected their religion.
And we are consistently reminded that it is a catholic school (and we respect that) and we should convert.
Everyone is forced to go to mass, and it’s not everyone that follows their religion. It’s sad how we respect their belief and they don’t.
This lady tries to cover up everything racist or sexist thing she says with her religion.
The one day we were called monkeys and she remarked it as a “joke” and I don’t recall anyone laughing to that joke.
It’s sad how the parents don’t really know what their kids go through on a daily basis.
