Unfortunately although this is a great school when it comes to providing quality education, there is a lack of empathy when addressing issues. Creating a fake image of family knowing very well that you will completely stop allowing attendance if fees are not up to date is completely terrible and the furthest thing from Christian. Parents are told to borrow money to pay fees even though it could be late by one month. It isn’t a school for the middle class nor does it try to understand the circumstances and situations occurring not only in the country but globally too. I genuinely loved this school but I cannot have people who do not know how to empathise with others be the ones to “raise” my child academically. It is a facade and I do not want to be part of it.
Today I heard that a girl called karolo shouted at Mrs van dijk I think it was I want to know I it is safe for my child to go here with such humiliation
Racist principal flirts with my dad and gives unessesarry punishments hates children and dropped out of high school I don't think we should be taught by an insignificant person like her
The school great fields but lacks when it comes to education. The teachers are racist but they won't show it directly. One teacher had a problem with me which made my experience a leaving hell. I could not experience having a relationship with staff members because of the one teacher that made sure that I didn't. Even if you complain they will make sure they favor the one causing the problem than the one whom has complained. But I'm grateful for the experience which has taught me a lot.

Good day "anonymous"
It is extremely difficult to address a complaint if you aren't willing to share specifics.
If you would like to see effective change, and create a better world, I would appeal to you to HAVE COURAGE! What do I mean by that?...
1. Talk to those in authority. As your principal, I make a specific and deliberate daily choice to listen to pupils and be fair in considering their issues. I have not had a SINGLE pupil come into my office this ENTIRE YEAR concerning alleged staff racism. It is rather strange that you would accuse me of "favouring the one who caused the problem," when you have never brought the problem to my attention. If you are truly a pupil at our school (and not disgruntled for another reason), you would also truly know that my door is wide open to you.
2. Making generalisations sounds persuasive and impressive, but doesn't address the heart of the issue, e.g. If you say things like "all", "always", they" etc. I can't take up your cause. If you rather say, "Mrs X gave me a demerit when I feel it was undeserved on the 20th of September," I can investigate the allegation and bring in corrective measures where necessary!
In conclusion... I reiterate... if you really want to see change, have courage! In the right way, we can make a positive difference to your experience, and your future!
I remember the first time I walked through the office of Solid Foundations primary school in grade R and I thought will i ever be as tall and scary as the grade 7's.That year has come way sooner than expected and now im writing a review about the school!!
I am greatful to be one of the children who has seen Solid Foundations become what it is today...
Solid Foundations tought how to lead be ambitious, persevere , always stay humble and generous...
Soild Foundations is a place where I could try anything beacause i knew that i was being supported by my parents and wonderful Principal Mrs Helembold, it is a place where you can gain confidence in yourself, feel safe and relaxed.
This school is like a big warm family this kind of vibe, atmosphere, community it really is 1 in a million..
It's so sad that I have to leave this amazing family. I will truly miss it and it will hold a special place in my heart...

Thank you to my "anonymous" student :)
It is always super emotional saying goodbye to my Grade 7s. I wish you well and trust you will continue to be the wonderful little person you have become in your high school and beyond.
Love all the way

Excellent school. Teachers are energetic and you can see they love teaching, love the children and enjoy coming to school. They definitely give more than what is expected. The school grounds, classrooms and toilets are always clean. The children are polite and are happy. A gem of a school!!
I sent both of my children to Solid Foundations beginning in Grade RR. The school is clean and safe, with wonderful playgrounds and well-equipped classrooms. I do wish there was enough space for a big grassy field and hope that they will keep expanding the school grounds until there is.
There is a real sense of "family" at the school. When my children were accepted, I felt like the whole family was accepted - and the teachers have been willing to do extra work to support my children and me.
The best primary school in Kempton park by far ! Passionate brilliant teachers / very professional management and incredible high standards all round !
The high standard might explain why some give it poor reviews - they themselves didn’t meet the grade! (Sour grapes )
Don’t hesitate to enroll your child
Annoying teachers, refrain from taking you child here.

Again - not sure if I'm addressing the same "student" as my previous reply, but come and chat with me. You know that I always make time for our students and want to hear your concerns.
Let's work together.

Don't send your children here, they don't even have a proper soccer field, teachers are boring and can't teach, schooling system is messed up.

Good day "student"
You're quite right, we don't have a proper soccer field. Our school was started so long along (26 pupils in 1972), the founders never dreamed it would grow into the beautiful school we have today. That's why we've arranged for our boys to be bussed to a sports field down the road for their soccer practices and have worked very hard to make our two big playgrounds interesting and full of climbing equipment.
As far as your concerns about the teachers, I can only counter your claim by stating that our teachers are INCREDIBLE and very passionate about their jobs. Maybe school isn't as fun as being at home, but nothing worthwhile was attained without some effort!
I'd love to hear more about your ideas regarding the fixing of the schooling system. Sounds like you've been thinking! My door is open for a chat!
Dr H
This school is the best, they love each and every child as their own. The staff are all so friendly and willing to assist the kids. If I phone, email or go to the school for any reason I’m always greeted and offered assistance.
