Don't want to waste money, then stay away from that dump, sexism, racism, biased treatment, teachers have no manners or respect but yet demand it. The principle is a communist, only things on his mind is sports and school spirit. The education is horrible, you are never prepared for what comes in test and the teachers do bare minimum to help. Do expect that you'll be forced to pay for events that you have no choice but to attend. The school thought it was so smart that they could trick everyone by saying the new entrance scanners was for safety, they only bought it to force male students to remove their masks to see if they are shaved or not. Last but not least the communication is bad. Do revise your options for a high school but do not include this one.
I would recommend this school but shem it’s not the same like 5 years ago. I mean 12 very good teachers have left in a period of 8 months. It’s very good in academics has proper equipments but the treatment is not right.
This school is great im not going to lie, but it has it's problems. There are a few teachers that just simply don't follow rules. They almost NEVER wear masks and they yell at us for using "too much sanitizer" There's also my Geography teacher... He uhhh is something alright. Kicking doors and if the students are talking, he often "threatens" the children. "if you talk again I'll break your neck boy" Im a white here, but I also experienced mild rasism among the teachers. Often discriminating both races. This school is great and I would definitely recommend it, but there are a few issues (what school doesn't) and most of them are caused by the teachers. Also the school principal is pretty... Dull. Not in a boring dull way. In a way that destroys school spirit. Culture and overall traditions.
The school is okay, from what I hear everyday there are problems that need to be fixed like racism and sexual harassment but other than that, there are some nice teachers. The sports is taken quite seriously, but not more than the academics.
It's an amazing school... It's strict on academics but sport and athletics are also important I've made amazing friends learned so much about myself at that school
I recommend this school to those who want to have an amazing high school experience the teachers are super sweet and are always there to help my teacher is the best register teacher I've ever had because she not only treats us as her students but also as her school children and you can always count on her this is an amazing school whether your shy or outgoing this school will truly transform you
well, it’s super racist. out of 21 RCL’s we only have like 5 black people. RCL votes are based on popularity, wealth and you might think I’m overstepping, but skin colour too. the education is proper and highly recommended 🥺🔥 that’s literally the only reason I’m still there ✨ Sexual harassment cases are swept under the rug, there are posters of bullying every way but when it happens, they don’t do anything about it. The only time things are take seriously is when they were mentioned by a white person. 🙂 But hey man, at least next year is my last year🥺🔥👏🏿
Sasolburg High has brought so many memories. Friends for life, with outstanding academic, sport and culture results. It has the perfect, balanced environment. You feel like you are part of a family and you will always have support.
A lot of discrimination against brown people. White people not disciplined for worse offenses. School spirit dying because of the new principal. No freedom of speech. Principlal is main reason of great teachers leaving the school as they cannot put up with his inconsiderate behavior. He isn't deserving of respect. He's also racist.
