Robins Nest - Wow.. Indeed a nest for our fledgeling little guy, to be nurtured, loved, cared for and allowed to grow.
Our son, has been at Robins Nest for a period of 36 Months and we have recieved nothing but support, encouragement and engagement from staff, teachers and the Principal.
All members of Robins nest always go over and above to ensure assiatnce is rendered and that the best care is given to the children.
Our son, is now in Grade1 and is very dissapointed that there isn't a chef at his school to now cater for his lunch, which only bears testimont to the qaulity of food given to tthe kids.
Well done Robins nest, keep up the excllence.. !!!
I was happy with the school at first since the school is big and has great outdoor facilities. My child joined the school at 19 months, then covid happened 2020. So he resumed again in March 2021. My child kept on getting injured and most of the time they would say they do not know how it happened (although they even have cameras).
There was a time when he got an injury at school, and they would lie and say when he came to school he was already swollen, although his face was clear when he left home.
They also don't update you on the progress of the child until it is time to issue out the reports.
I think the school was badly affected by covid since they had to reduce the numbers in order to have social distancing. But this made them to become smarter on how to increase their revenue. They will say that the child is not coping and should get additional lessons from a remedial teacher who works with the school.
And these lessons cost R800 and they tell the parents that it's one on one classes yet it is a group set up. And the remedial teacher will say the groups are full and you need to pay R3200 for 1 on 1 attention for your child, which is almost equivalent to the school fees. And it makes me wonder on the role of the teachers. if you still have to pay extra amounts per month.
In my case, they no longer wanted my child, but they could not tell it to me straight. So they just charged me high amounts for the extra lessons. And when I send an email about it they never responded. They only responded to my email when they 4 weeks later when they wanted to confirm if he had already left the school since they did not receive the school fees. And the response said "Apologies for the late response, please confirm if the child has already left" So it just shows they had seen my mail but they wanted us to leave.
So the principal of the school assigned someone to call me with a cell number (because they thought I would ignore it if they used their own number) to confirm if the child has left. I have never experienced such rudeness from an organisation like I did with them. She was friendly at first but when she noticed that the child has already left she became so rude, impolite. I am really glad I took out my child from such toxic people.
All 3 of my kids attended this school, they love the school and the teachers. I trust the school they put the kids first, and standard of learning is high. The security of the kids is one of their number one priorities and I would recommend them
