Wonderful school filled with happiness and discipline. 😘 Despite the obstacles, my experience at OS was something to be admired! I enjoyed every minute of each day 😉.Thank u so much to all staff and a special thanks to DR Omar for being so understanding and such an amazing principal throughout my high school , You have surely made my experience as a student great!👍 I hope that OS will continue to be uplifted in every way possible and I wish and hope for the best for Overport Secondary in the years to come!!!👌❤ 😛

I am a former Overport Secondary Student and I had a very great experience with the school compared to what I heard about the school before I joint them, So the only reason I went there was because of my late application and they still took me in, Academic level there is so great and teachers do really teach but as you know some students go out of their way with behavior issues. I took part in Sports, Drama classes and every extra mural activity the school offered. The security and safety level was also in place as a school should have and I'm so proud to have matriculated in a school like that with a good pass rate and affordable school fees.

Overport secondary school is one of the worst skwls dat u can attend. The teachers there are lazy and the principle does not care the physics teacher teachs in xhosa even though there are Indian and forgaine students. They do not care if you pass with a 30% or a 60% as long as you pass . Even if multiple student/parents complain about a teacher the school does nothing this skwl needs to be shut down

The school classes are not painted they have old paint some teachers don't teach during their subject periods

OSS is a good school with well qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers(most are)
My experience with the school was very great I met great, people, found love and life long friends. The only negative is lack of sports available (even though the school has a very large ground which can be used for sport).


The current pandemic has affected everyone and the handling of the situation was very impressive. All precoutions have been followed the teachers are doing their part and most students are doing theirs. The 'rat lickers' are being dealt with very well.


If you are looking for a school with great quality of teaching and strict disciplinary actions towards those who need it OSS is what you are looking for.
