It is the niceties and façade that is fabulous, but then the unspoken, the actions and the manipulations of the WCED system to suit the Teachers. Victimization in its subtilty as well as racist. 2 kids struggle, one is favored and one is not.
I went to this school 4 years ago. The new principal just came and I was doing ok. Going into the intermediate faze was a nightmare. I have a terrible fear of vomiting and one day my classmate threw up in front of me. I ran out of the classroom and the teacher followed me. I started having my first ever panic attack. The teacher took me by the arms and shook me hard. I was so startled that I started crying harder. Once I calmed down I was told I had to go back to the classroom. I didn’t want to go because there was patio vomit on the floor. I stood there by the door. The teacher started counting to 3 and I was terrified so I went back into the classroom.
Another incident:
I went outside for break and there was a group of classmates sitting in a circle. I can’t and sat down next to one of them. This horrid girl stood up and shouted “Who doesn’t want her to sit with us?” All of the people sitting there put their hands up. I was hurt, I ran to the teacher and told her, her exact words were ‘Ill deal with it later’. And she never did.
Please spare your children from the terrible experience here. Schools handling of punishment and bullying matters are out of line. Threatening is used and favourite students are let off the hook. The head does clearly not know how the world works and should not be allowed to influence children. the broadcast of what the public sees is never the same as what is happening behind closed doors. please protect your children.
