Northern Academy

This is just a money machine school for Curro they do not really care about the performance of the kids in matric. They don't even display their pass rate on the website when matric results come like other schools that really care about the future of the kids. it performs worse they township schools. what a waste of money. last year results 49.9% Bachelor pass, 32.4% diploma pass, 17.7% Certificate this is worse for a private school. they had 401 students doing matric and they charge R3290 per student which means per month they make R1,319,290. per year over 15 million rands while the kids fail like this or get matric results that are worth nothing.

Is there anyone in this world who's able to get hold of anyone at this school? I've been trying to contact them so many times, 'til today no one answers. I've even reported this matter to Curro Head offices and they're unable to get hold of them also. And another thing that i hate about this school, is the additional amounts of money that are just added on our statements without explaining what they're for. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Northern academy High to anyone.

I would like to recommend it but I really I can't. In my personal opinion the children there don't have any respect or manners to the teachers and I think because of that the teachers do sometimes hold some sort of grudges to the learners but only for a good reason. A child recently got stabbed at N.A, children aren't well behaved at all. This school is a ghetto school. Teaching on the other hand is very good, they offer good education and if your very respectful do your work you'll find out that the teachers aren't that bad because they help the ones with potential, the teachers are friendly and fun to be with. If you want a school with well behaved pupils I would not recommend this school if you want a school with good education I would recommend the school. There aren't that many extra murals activities but they seem to add more every year or so. You can't really feel secure and safe with people on drugs and people always holding sharp knifes and scissors.

The teachers like holding grudges against students it’s actually kinda hard to learn if the teachers don’t like you because you’ll always be reminded about your bad marks most people go to it because it offers quality eduction but psychologically it’s hard there also trying to fit in ,but I might say that some of the teachers try their best to make us excel and understand the work we sometimes get demerits for doing nothing but an innocent mistake of looking at the back I once stayed for detention for speaking with the assistant teacher but because the assistant teacher didn’t like me I stayed for detention and got called dumb it’s actually not nice there and when you wake up you don’t look forward to going there . It’s not a bad school at all but for some kids it’s hard to fit in But the education is good and parents should bring their kids there ,we also have exciting extra mural activities as they add new ones every year and new subjects

The best of all times. Quality education offered as well as recreational activities

Majority of the students in that school are on drugs, the teachers are aware of this but don't do anything to stop it. I would rather call it a business instead of calling it a school, all they care about is the money. As long as you can afford the fees then you are guaranteed that your child will be accepted

My honest honest opinion Academic wise the school was top tier we were given every kind of resource to excel in our studies. The teachers were very helpful but one thing the school lacked is creativity, it’s a school that’s filled with so much talent yet they failed to see that, if as much attention was put into talent search the school would produce so many success stories because the truth will always be not everyone is meant to be a medical doctor or engineer but other than that my experience was one that will not be forgotten ❤️

Northern Academy is a good school,most of. the teachers are supportive towards learners dreams and are willing to listen when students need help. There have been rumors if racism amongst black and white teachers,and the school used to be really disciplined but not anymore.
