The academic opportunities are good and the teachers care about their learners. Yet there are still learners who have no respect for anyone, especially the children in the class. One of the things at Norman Henshilwood is that when the school ends early it's always a MUST for the kids to leave early. That means that parents have to leave their regular jobs just so that they can pick up their children. Normies needs to keep the parents and their jobs in mind.
The school has highly undisciplined students, teachers are almost as bad, the principal isn’t doing a thing to improve the discipline in the school and does not know how to treat anyone with respect, and there are also students who do drugs on the premises
If you are looking for a school where teachers go out and about to help their students not just academically but emtionally and socially well as to help you achieve the best results of your ability Normies is the school for you
An ex principal of Norman Henshilwood was 1 of the most important people in my high school life. From Monday morning motivational assemblies to random classroom visits, this man was a leader one could ALWAYS count on. He has made my high school experience one of the best experiences to date and he is indeed someone to look up to.
“Knowledge and integrity” ,our schools motto, is what was being instilled in the lives of; the educators, ground staff, visitors and learners day in and day out. Shout out to this awesome man for being 1 of the most excellent and influential leaders ever !!!
I am a parent of 3 students currently attending. I find the daily updates from all subjects teachers of a huge benefit as this allows the parent an insight into our childrens academic world and helps us as parents in daily hussle and bussle of life to still make the time to oversee that our children are learning responsibility of getting their school tasks at hand done especially before deadlines preparing them for the next phase of life after school. The principal and his team give the school a warm family like atmosphere making school feel like home. They also make every effort to help when a student is having difficulty being it academic or personal and go the extra mile to always see to the well being of that student.
Its's my son's first year in grade 8 and so far I am very happy and highly impressed by your school’s educational philosophy, dedicated teaching staff and overall facilities. I believe that communication is key and that is what they do every week since school has started. Knowing that the corona virus has bought our country to a early school closing and a shut down for 21, I am highly impress with this school principal and teachers, who probably worked around the clock to get school reports send out on time with the top ten results. Since day one they have showed and proved to me that this school has an excellent track record - I would highly recommend this school to any parent.
Not a fan. Bad students, they don't care. Teachers don't care either. It's a lousy, lazy, do whatever you want school. Where they don't care if you learn or not. Also, they award children for getting 60+ average, which is embarrassing.
