This school is great in terms of academic and education along with the staff But, it is filled with kids who constantly harass and bully students and it has been going on for years now with no change and new gr. 8s are not safe
There is laconof discipline. And racism is there. It's subtle. Also learners don't get timetables u til the day before. And when the timetable gets 'leaked' they want to change it
People say Manor is a bad school when in actual fact its not...when it comes to academic education its really good and its not the same as it was back in the past...Manor is a well kept school and the students and teachers there are amazing so whoever told you that its a school filled with rotten naughty kids lied to you because Manor kids are actually harmless so please get the mindset of you thinking Manor is a horrid school out of your head.
Great school, although it has quite a reputation it's still good and people just like exaggerating. Just come to the school and you'll see how not that bad it is.
I only started going to Lyttelton Manor High School this year,2020. Before I went there, I had heard a lot of horrible rumours about the school. I still took my chances and went to the school and it turned out to be amazing. The learners and staff at Lyttelton manor were very seraphic and welcoming towards us during our first few days there. The discipline in the school is extraordinary. Now that I've actually gotten to experience the school,I know that the rumours were absolutely ridiculous and I wouldn't have any second thoughts about recommending it to another learner who isn't sure about their high school preference.
I have been in this school for four years now and I have observed that sports such as ruby are put on a pedestal thus covering the light of the other sports.
cultural activists as well such as the school's showcase and the house play is or rather are not taken serious and the learners that part take in those activites are not appreciated in any ways, those that are appreciated are mostly recognized as the "school's favorites."
on the other hand I will be brutally honest that the school is very weak as to how they handle bullying. yet again if a bully is recognized as the "school's favorite" they would not deal with the matter in the right way.
either than that this is a great school as academics and the learners academic growth is put first.
