Highschool Louis Trichardt is GREAT
My child is a learner of HS Louis Trichardt, it is a great school. Alot of misconceptions about the school. They are NOT racist like the reviews state. All kids are equal and all the kids have an equal chance to participate in all sports, cultural and social events, I see the support they give to children at many of the schools sports functions. It is a Christian school with good morals and values. Every single teacher that I have come across is supportive to ALL children, no matter what the race. My child have friends from many different cultural backgrounds. They support and care for each other.
Hsltt not a good school.
The school is very racist. They claim that one team one dream yet people of color are treated differently. There are certain subjects that are offered only if you're Afrikaans. Some teachers don't even show up to class for the whole period and cuss us out when we fail.
Would not recommend HSLTT
A very Racist school indeed. Feels as if there’s 2 different schools in this school. People of color are treated very poorly . The school classifies them as “not participating and taking part in activities” and that’s their excuse for not including them in fun stuff. For instance, the school took part in the Jerusalema challenge and in that video only a handful of people of color were included in that video. They claim
To be “one team on goal” but yet People of color aren’t included in activities. When we call them out, they threaten their students with “having them expelled” and simply block them . They do not take ownership. I would not recommend this school . We are just forced to go there because there’s no other school that is good in sport or culture in that area. They are not the best we just have no other options. Rather take your child to a boarding school than to attend that school

How racist Hoërskool LTT is
This school is rich in apartheid,Its full of racism. They are suppose to treat both black and white kids equally
but instead The black kids are treated as outcasts it's more like 25%-75%.when black kids wear grey pants they get chased away and are told to come back the next day or get their parents called but when the white kids wear grey pants it's okay.the black kids have limited subject choices, they aren't allowed to do agriculture,tourism and Hospitality because "It's only done in afrikaans" if you want to do this subjects get a class of 20+ people they say but there are classes with only 4 white kids being taught.Even when choosing LECs there's always 26 LECs but instead of making 13 black and 13 white its going to be 6 black and 20 white. At Hoërskool Louis Trichardt if you're black you'll be undermined. Some of the teachers there aren't even qualified, there's a teacher who's only qualified to teach grade8 maths yet he/she is teaching grade12 physical science(And you wonder why your kids are failing),there's also one who didn't even go to university yet he/she is teaching at the school. To show how racist they are they once even got offended when a kid prayed on the intercom in Tshivenda and was told never to pray in Tshivenda and only on English or Afrikaans. The school only care about the white kids because "They have money and sponsor the school". At this school you'll never be an equal unless you are white or have money

The some of the teachers aren't even qualified,A grade 12 physical science teacher is only qualified to teach grade 8 math yet he/she is teaching grade 12 physics, One didnt even go to university but he/she is an afrikaans teacher at the school. The black kids have limited subject choices they aren't allowed to do agriculture,tourism and Hospitality because "you're only allowed to do those subjects in afrikaans" then they say if you want this subjects in English make a class of 15, when a class of 15 is made then they say no make a class of 25 yet some of the white classes only have 5 kids doing the subject. This school beyond racist

I'm giving this school 1 star because :this school seems to still be stuck in the apartide era
The subject they offer are not the same between the white and black people
The headboy and headgirl are always white people not black people
Most of the teachers there are unqualified
Most of them didn't even finish university
