Despite being a great school with a lot of potential, I have found that parental concerns are not taken seriously when raised. My son has been repeatedly injured with no satisfactory explanation provided, instances of bullying have not been addressed appropriately, and school security is also a concern. There was even the most recent incident where the principal of Kleuter Kampus verbally attacked me in front my son and in the presene of her class room because of valid concerns I have raised regarding the schools security measures.
I have made numerous attempts to address these issues with both the principal of Kleuter Kampus and the main school, but my efforts have been met with little response. Meeting requests have been avoided and email exchanges have failed to address the important points. It seems to me that the school is being managed as a business rather than with the best interests of the children at heart.
I had one meeting with a teacher/principal of Kleuter Kampus regarding a bullying incident and other concerns about my son's education. I was promised further insights and recommendations, but these were never provided. Additionally, when I tried to discuss these issues with other parents, my messages were immediately deleted by the teacher, which suggests that the school does not encourage open discussion among parents.
I have also raised these concerns with the GDE and other relevant individuals to look into the school's operations and the treatment of parents by teachers.
Since my attempts at finding solutions have not been succesful, I am left with no option but to warn future parents.
Very bad experience, unpleasant unprofessional and rude I have been so disgusted in my life. The staff treats the kids as the parents like trash!!!! Definitely not recommend.
Fantastic school.... IF you as parent are able to donate or buy your child's way through his or her time there.
The school has definite high standards in every area from sport, academics and discipline
However, sports athletes such as rugby players are being bought from other schools, not giving the children already in the school the opportunity to develop and grow into a sport.
Every aspect of a student life in this school is mapped out by personal gain and agenda of adults (parents and teachers)
If you are unable or unwilling to buy your child's way through this school, your child just won't achieve.
You and your child can preform and work as hard as you like but absolutely nothing will ever happen in favor of your child. You as parent will also be told all sorts of stories to be kept busy but none of those promises will come true, if you don't pay or donate and if you aren't part of the clique.
So sad that such a good school is allowed to be ruined by such bureaucracy and that innocent children are getting hurt and deflated in the process.
The school motto.... A 1000 children = a 1000 opportunities.
If only that were true
