Klerksdorp Technical High School. Imagine a group of friends with all their different personalities and attributes coming together in one circle. The loud one , the quiet one , the sassy , the bossy , the nosey , the junkie , the gym freak , the-...it goes on and on. Despite their differences , they are able to come together and be one unit. They build each other , motivate each other as well as disagree from time to time. Some days are greater than others but despite everything , they are able to remain together and elevate towards something ineffable. Well , Klerksdorp THS offers exactly that. From the amazing and skilled teachers to the amazing school spirit and sports , it is the place to be. THS takes you through a self-discovery journey whilst grounding you reminding you to be disciplined as it prepares you for the “big” world. So step out and explore the diversity. Be bold and brave. As a former Kiewit myself, I say to you , uit die blou van onse hemel.
A summary of THS
THS has its own challenges. From teachers, learners, sports, cultural activities, dress code, academic, down to the food sold. We eat the same unsatisfing food everyday and they are not open for suggestions. Academics and teachers? We have amazing teachers who do their job quite well, but just 80% of them. Let's talk about the uniform. Are we all comfortable in it? No! Design school shorts for girls, designs hoodies etc. THS learners will also destroy your mental health. But it's not such a bad school (lol for some). That's a summary of it
