Beware what is hidden behind a tightly controlled image
My child was being bullied, came home with marks a few times after each other and when I tried to enquire about the cause, I was dismissed as they claimed there were no marks and no incidents took place (some of them left scars for weeks). After repeatedly being denied a meeting with the principal (the school does not allow meetings with teachers), and in response to my last request for one, my child was sent home packing with no notice other than a couple of hours, in the form of a threat by the principal over whatsapp, saying that services would be suspended if payment was not made. They were paid every month, that month payment was one to two days late as I was waiting for the meeting that the principal kept avoiding for weeks.
It turned out the person who caused the marks is a senior member of staff, not another child. My child was a year old at the time.
In those instances there were visible signs. In the absence of that, it is difficult to know if your child is being treated well, or not, especially when they cannot speak for themselves.
