KES and KEPS are truly a magnificent schools.
I, my son and other family members were privileged to go to this great school.
It is not for everybody though: shirkers, disloyal, ill-disciplined and ill-mannered boys and those who are are not willing to contribute meaningfully to the school will simply not fit in.

Expose Mr Fanell,Mr Bregan and Simon Thorne from 2005-2009
I used ti be a scholar there from 2005-2009 and was honestly the worst experience of my life.. took me years to get over the mental abuse from staff and seniors at the school..once Mr Bregan who was so broke he lived on campus along withSimon Thorne and Former head master Mr Fanell all falsely accused me of bullying some white kid off campus and basically forced me to confess to something i did not do.Don’t send your son there they try institutionalize you.Becareful it’s not as it seems
An all-boy school located in Johannesburg known for excellent sporting programs. King Edwards is definitely one of the good all boys school left in South Africa. A school with rich history and a strong reputation, this is definitely a place you would send your boy to build character and be part of one of the few standing electric all-boy school energy’s left.
This school competes with the absolute best such as the likes of:
Pretoria Boys High, JEPPE, St.Johns, Grey Collage, Maritzburg Collage and Affies Hoerseuns Skool
The matriculates run the school. There’s is no authority. Bullying occurs often as higher grades pick on/bully lower grades and call it “tradition” and nothing gets done about it. The teachers are atrocious, with most of them having the aim of putting students down. In my personal experience most teachers I have had have taught me little to nothing to prepare for the tests/exams. My opinion, I wouldn’t send your child here. It’s just a name and most often than not it will just break your kid down.
The principal is a complete fool. Has no sympathy towards the students and treats them like it’s a military school. Rather bullying is handled between the students, but the real bullying stems from the teachers on the students. The teachers are supposed to be top class, however are just there for the money and don’t actually care about providing a good education to the students. The school is completely based around rugby, so if you are an academic, culturally inclined or play any other sport besides rugby, then this isn’t the school for you. The school fees are completely overpriced for what they provide and all the money goes into bettering the rugby
King Edward's Vii school is a very good school if you are an excellent person. If you are extremely good at academics, sports, or cultural activities then this is the best school you could ever go to. But everybody else who is not excellent just falls through the cracks and become anonymous. The teachers will focus on those destined to be great and build them up while those who are not so great unfortunately recieve no attention at all.
This school builds up legend. If you are enrolled in the school you are already an automatic legend. The school is perfect when it comes to academic and extra curricular activities. KING EDWARD VII SCHOOL (K.E.S) is well know for it's famous old boys. The teachers here are incredible. PERIODT...
