Our experience at Junior Academy Sunward Park was deeply distressing. My child was repeatedly bullied by a classmate, both in the classroom and on the playground, resulting in physical harm, including incidents where my child was hit and bled. Despite bringing these issues to the school's attention, no effective action was taken. This situation severely affected my child's emotional well-being, causing him to cry, resist going to school, and suffer from nightmares where he would call out the other child's name.
The school's refusal to acknowledge the term "bully" is concerning. Moreover, children are often left unsupervised on the playground, and exposed to harsh sunlight, indicating a lack of proper care.
The current administration demonstrates a concerning lack of knowledge, experience, common sense, and basic empathy. When I requested to speak with the school owner to address these issues, after failing to resolve them with the administration, my request was flatly denied. This response suggested that we were merely considered as numbers, rather than individuals with valid concerns. Entrusting authority to those who may not deserve it often results in immature and inappropriate behavior.
I am relieved that my children have moved on from this environment. They are now happy, thriving, and receiving a quality education at their new schools. The outward appearance of Junior Academy Sunward Park may be appealing, but beneath the surface lies neglect and prioritization of profit over the well-being and safety of the children.
My experience with Junior Academy Sunward Park was terrible. My child completely shut down socially and was traumatized from the second day right up until we took him out. I remember fetching him once and I could hear him snoring from the entry way. When I got to him he was foaming at the mouth and had blue rings around his eyes. At no point did they inform me or call me to fetch him because he was unwell. I am still dealing with guilt today because as a parent I should've known better. I'll never recommend them.
