The school is an excellent school who is there to assist both students and parents, given you communicate with the staff and teachers in the same respectful way that you would like to be respected. Relationships are built on respect and communication to prosper towards a good and trustworthy path between parent, teacher and student.
So apparently when you fail Afrikaans at president high School you fail the term, I think all the assignments we have done the first term they must all count for the first term report, because then whats the use of reading and getting marks but the count for the second term, all the first term marks must count for the first term
Academically I would rate this school 3/5, they aren't bad academically. As far as treating their students like actual human beings they're rated 1/5. The school cares more about academics/sports than learners health and safety. There was no water in school, yet kids had to stay at school. Toward the end of the day they said that parents can fetch their kid if they want to, but the teachers went on with work. This is not the first time. Certain teachers and the *************** in the school are just so hard to talk to, they have a set mind and don't care about issues that learners face. They want learners to be dressed in school uniform and that alone, they say layer clothes underneath but make sure it doesn't show, which at times is impossible to do. The****** in the****** are rude and majority of the time, racist, at least to me. It simply feels as though they do not care about learners physical and mental wellbeing.
this school is bad no metric fairwell for two years now
rhe metric jackets for 2021 was absolutely a disaster the learners were showed a picture and got the opposite the jacket is bad quality bad sizes the stitching is bad and left over material was used the children is rude no discipline the prizes of the tack shop and school uniform is bazare so expensive.
I have been suspended twice this year because of a white teacher having a problem with my school uniform (wearing a hoodie at school) yet the white child in my class is not told where to get of like I was told for wearing a hoodie
School is full of racism
The feeding scheme is excluded from black kids, only “white kids “
Teachers are rude towards learners
Learners can never explain themselves. We are always “wrong”
Hate that school and all the white teachers in it
Most of these teachers can’t even speak English🤷🏽♂️
The lack or no communication between teachers to parents. Having dealt with one of the HOD's with a really bad and disrespectful attitude was extremely disappointing. Racism is very evident across the board. Made the biggest mistake of sending my child to this school.
First there is a lot of bullying. Secondly it's getting overcrowded. Thirdly there is a lot of crime in the school yard. Children smoke weed at school and the teachers do nothing about it.
The school isn't bad, it's just the racism in the school. Black kids are treated less fortunate that whites kids. Some teachers may tend to call us ",useless" over irrelevant things. But the school surroundings may be very clean. The way teachers handle kid's behaviours ? Totally unacceptable and disgusting.
The teachers are racist and the school racism is hidden in the school code of conduct. Their teaching styles are horrible and some of their teachers barley know how to fluently speak English.
The school is actually really good. They have really experienced teachers who are helpful at most times. The extra - curricular activities are a wide variety but I do feel that there could be more. The focus mostly is on sports and that's okay but there aren't there many for other to participate in. I do wish that there were after school programmes in place for academics from the get go. It is a nice school and there are always new teachers. I don't think it's diverse because there is a majority of white teachers. But all in all, no form of discrimination has taken place form my experience. Love the school, love the teachers.
This is a really great school to find yourself in. There's a place for everyone to display their talents and have fun like art club, debate, choir, drama, netball, rugby, cricket, athletics etc. I found out a lot about myself in the time I've beem here. We have very passionate educators, some are quite strict but we still have fun when learning. Our school is quite strict and takes dresscodes very seriously. There's no day in the year when we wear civics, I'm guessing this is the schools way of disciplining us. Something i really hate about the school is the littering outside the school caused by my fellow pupils, otherwise the inside is very clean. Our principal has been too nice this year by letting extra children in who didn't have space in other schools.
