Biased admission system
The school's admission system gives preference to certain race; I live less than 500m from the school, but our daughter's application was declined for two consecutive years. The reason is always the same "no space" but every year they hand out application forms.
Overkruin needs to handle bullies better
I do not recommend this school at all when I was bullied and fought the bullies back, I was the one that got punished. And when I actually followed their rule of no physical fighting and just to report the bullies, I was called a weakling. A teacher also encouraged me to quit their subject all together. A school is supposed to encourage students to do better not quit all together. I didn't have a nice experience at their school and the only thing that was fun for me was with my friends and some good teachers that made school fun.
Hoërskool Overkruin
Overkruin, is a value driven school, great discipline, and the principal, is really in control. There is definitely a balance between school work, and taking a break, with alot of fun activities. The security at Hoërskool Overkruin, is excellent ! The teachers, makes an effort, to help you boost your grades, and just overall support you. But there are a few teachers, that are a bit inexperienced, in a way of teaching.

I’m a metric student at Hoërskool Overkruin. It’s a value driven school. Every teacher at the school is passionate about their work and strive to help each learner as best as they can. They focus on each child and build a connection with each one of them.

Avarage school
A pretty avarage school with good dicepline and teachers but some teachers use their position to intimidate you.
