Academically, Monnas sucks. All they worry about is Rugby, Rugby and more Rugby. Cultural, they are OK. There is unfortunately a problem of racism at the school. Not recommended.
Shitty school if your not white or Afrikaans
School lacks diversity on all fronts. It is true they they focus on sports rather than academics specially to the students who are given sports bursaries. No academic support is provided for them to excel on both academic and athletic platforms. The micro aggressions faced by students of colour are ignored and you NEED to understand Afrikaans because that’s the MAIN language of communication. English students are rarely catered for outside of the class/teaching section. As an English student whose, the amount of cultural activities you’d want to participate in are limited to none.

Excellent balanced school.
To everyone saying Monument just focus on sports, you are totally wrong. I don't participate in a single sport activity. I focus on academics and a whole range of cultural activities from dance, to vocal music, instrumental music to drama, debate, public speaking and everything in between.
I have received colors for both academics and culture.
You just need to stop complaining and stop focusing on everyone around you and focus on yourself and what you are good at.

Monnas is 100% die beste skool.Ek was al in baie skole agv ouers se werk en Monnas het net deel geword van my. Jy kan nie n fout maak deur na monnas toe te gaan nie. Een keer 'n monumentaar, altyd 'n monumentaar!!!!!!

This school is amazing ,they make you feel welcome and Monument high is like one big family. I will never forget all the good,bad and sad times we all spend together.

All about rugby
All they care is about is rugby!! No time to focus on learners who achieve academically. All the praise go to the rugby players more than 80% have honours and colours just because they have scholarships,whislt my daughter has work four year to get academic colours and missed it by 1% but they would not give her the award.
Sport > academy
This is the most sport driven school i know, yes to motivate sport is good, but it's unhealthy to leave your academy behind, we know of students who gete passed, but failed just because they or on a scholarship

Monnas is one of the most amazing school in the country and the academy is brilliant they dont just fokus on the class but on each individual student . Monnas has the most unique traditions. Monnas if a great school and full of experience.

Dissatisfied
I wasn't happy with my years in this school. Not all the teachers are kind and caring. They say bullying is not tolerated but I've known of so many bullied kids who were brushed away because the case "wasn't serious" but they got thrown down stairs and pushed off chairs. As far as the academic side goes, they are more worried about sport and want to force a whole years worth of work into you within 5 months.
