Im currently writing this in 2024(grade10) andall i want to say i have met the greatest people in my life so far at this school the sports are very good expect the rugby but they are in a very high division perfect for getting better and im a proud montie🐝
Racism even Panyaza Lesufi couldn't deal with it. 10 classes for grade 10 but only one class is English medium even though the area is dominated by English speaking people
My experience at the school. Teachers discriminate and look down on students that don’t do good in their subject, some classes are not a comfortable learning environment where teachers put us in uncomfortable situations and don’t accommodate our problems.
When I went to school here, the English classes were given the stigma of being the unbehaved, unruly and stupid.
If your mother-tongue is English, like mine, I would not choose this Highschool.
Bullying, both physical and verbal, are not dealt with accordingly. There is no justice because of prejudice.
Sure, the outward appearance of the school is fantastic, but the school "politics" (as I like to call it) are far from being ideal.
There are only a few teachers who actually care about their students.
The school doesn't care about the mental health of their learners, theu just expect good academic results and if you don't give these results you are either pushed or become invisible in the teachers eye. Learners are pushed too hard.
Discipline is not handled correctly. The appearance guidelines do not cater for everyone, especially POC.
If you are in the English class you feel extremely unwelcome not only by learners but by teachers too. Teachers pick on certain children and their is no justice for bullying whatsoever.
There aren't many subjects to choose from, especially as an English learner. The subjects you choose to be in English are often given by a teacher that barely knows how to speak English.
The sport is amazing but it's hard to get in because once again there is favoritism.
For the 5 years that I was in the school, they only started putting soap in the bathrooms when it was a requirement because of Covid regulations.
I do not recommend this school if you're English.
Most of the time the food in the tuckshop is old but the overall prices are reasonable.
Over the years they started giving information in both English and Afrikaans but most of the time it was just said in Afrikaans.

There are no fun activities only hard work and nothing in return, but the teachers want the kids to achieve the best but there is nothing at all to work for
Discipline is strict and effective
Some teachers you can see they are doing what they love, which is what a child needs
Sports have some of the best coaches, but they only care about the winning teams and a-teams,coaching is ripped of at b teams but overall kids are being learned great sportmanship
Bullying is a big thing in this school because there is nothing being done to stop it.
Overall great school, would send my child there
School is overall too strict and don't care about the mental health of the children. Some teachers pick on children whom they don't like. There's barely any fun activities for the children. Bathrooms barely ever have soap.
Excellent school overrall. Too much spotlight gets puts on certain sports such as Rugby first teams and boys sports, as well as only first teams. No mentioning of girls doing good in sports such as cricket. Academically wise, some teachers are too strict and pressure kids too much. Rules and dicipline are sometimes overboard too such as publically talking to girls about skirt lenth in front of boys. Appearrance checks were introduced in february and some feel they are too strict. Ovverall it is still a good school. The school is very safe for all, but they do not handle bullying and such very effectively. Dicipline head is extremely rude. Boys get better acknowleging in sports.Mental health help can significantly improve as the psycologist on site isn't very effective. Building checks need to be done as there is cracks at the I-beams that hold up the bridges and such. Teachers are too strict when it comes to debit slips and absense as not all learners can afford a medical certificate from a doctor as proof that they are sick.
