Hoërskool Gerrit Maritz

At the start of my grade 8 year it was nice until mid year when i noticed that the teachers there are very racist. Some rules on our diaries are based on black girls. They told me i must cut my hair because it's too african and too puffy. Every year in the start we pay a certain amount for textbook fees that are not even appealing and neat. Our classrooms are a mess the floor is not in a good condition the bathrooms are always not working and sometimes it just causes chaos. The food there is really nice and improved unlike last year. Some teachers dont deserve to be teaching high school kids some of them lose their temper really quickly some are just rude to us from the get go. What i also dont like about that school is that the principal never listens to his students problem about the school and teachers. They dont consider pur opinion and he doesn't care about how we feel towards the school

Gerrit Maritz is an excellent and well disciplined school.My experience so far at Gerrit Maritz has been excellent. It has great teachers who seek to grow all students. The great teachers have high expectations who strive to create a positive learning environment for the students ,they give hope and provide encouragement and confidence for students. Gerrit Maritz is a safe school where students are safe from violence,bullying,harassment and substance abuse,it promotes their protection of students from violence, exposure to weapons and threats,bullying,theft and the sale or use of illegal substances on school grounds . Gerrit Maritz also offers achievements to students who have performed well or improved in the level of schooling and learners who have successfully completed the ability to attain success in their studies.
