Absolutely pathetic school! Communicating with the school is an absolute issue. In terms of Batho Pele principles the head of the school should be assessible to parents. If you want to emotionally damage your child, send her there! Its like a prison.
It’s depressing lol no happiness and imagine leaving my sister in such a place of toxicities of girls who aren’t disaplined well also plz don’t try to figure who wrote this bc it’s my private opinion ✌️
My little girl spent a year there. Emotionally damaged her. I was told my child has to be on Ritolin - A certain junior teacher told me there is no hope for my girl and had her favorites. I got my kid into a new school. She has blossomed into a above average student. I cannot wait to send the principal her academic results she has received.
If you support the school with all the sponsorship you will be on their good books.
GRGS has a lot of potential to be one of the best primary schools in Durban. Most of the teachers only care if you pass, other than that teachers don't really care. One of the best grades have to be grade 6 because the teachers care about how well you're doing academically, emotionally and physically.
Gordon road is so much more and most of the teachers need to pay attention to every other aspect too.
The teachers can emotionally drain you, they constantly shout at you and/or make fun of you.GRGS needs to step up their game
It's been seven years since I've left the school and I do hope that they've improved. My experience at this school was negative, the teachers didn't care that I was getting bullied, they have actually made terrible remarks about me in front of other students which resulted in a very unsafe working environment for me. I was told that I was overreacting, I could not express myself properly during my time at this school. This resulted in my mental health being compromised throughout my high school years and even well into my adulthood. I was very disappointed because I know this school has a lot of potential to be an amazing instituion for young ladies but unfortunately the staff have been unprofessional and disrespectful (they should understand that this can actually have a mental and emotional effect on their students).
I am very disappointed with this school. It's my daughters 1st yr. I expected the teachers to be less shouty and more kind as well as encourage kindness amongst all girls' from various cultures.
This school has huge potential to be an amazing elementary girl's school. I also noticed that the jr primary level pay little attention to developing the girl's motor skills. There is no play area or jungle gym for the learners. These are kids only once. 3 quarter of the kids time is spent at school surely the school needs to understand how important this is.
