Absolutely terrible school. I've regreted ever enrolling into that school. It actually set me back years of redoing my education because my time there was a complete waste. No order, no intention to empower learners, absent teachers, township schools are far better than this school. I would advise anyone not to go there. I can't seem to forgive myself for ever going there. My academic career was completely sabotaged there.
In all honesty, I'm going to set the record straight here!
GlenBrack High School has failed and wronged many learners who are currently attending the school. I personally tried not listen about the hearsays I heard regarding the school and prove my right about the school, but I failed!:(
Many learner's hopes and dreams are being juggled with no mistake. The schools reputation is... Let me not say it. The people within the school system have wronged and failed us and not the school itself as it is a building on its own obviously. The schools infrastructure is very poor like how would one call a house interior designer and see whether is the school insured or not. Learners don't have extra mural activities as it's part of their physical well being. At this point I feel like we're paying school fees for nothing because I don't see where the money is going, like how we pay civvies money just to wear our own home clothes. I mean like we're being scammed for goodness sake!!
The school accommodates more the 40 learners per class cause however the school feels like a second hand in many situations when it comes to registering for a school. There are learners who smoke and know how to sneak in illegal substances. There aren't random tests for those learners who consume the illegal substances. And the I feel like the principal is doing nothing about it. Entering the school gates every morning feels like prison for the new comers like how we're being searched and frisked searched. Because what annoys me about that is that the people who frisk search us sometimes have a tendency of making us feel uncomfortable.
Going to GlenBrack can make you feel dumb and dumber every time you have to attend school. In the area Brakenhurst, I feel like GlenBrack is not considered a school that gives you the best quality education that you deserve as learner that attends school there.
There are teachers who really do take their job seriously like how they want us to see us succeed but some are like " I still getting paid at the end of the month" type of people.
Honestly, don't take your child there! If you asking the students that "do you like this school"? majority of them will say NO, you know why? the teaching and learning conditions, both are out of order. The building itself reeks of dampness especially the fields damn!! May the principal just look at his school and make arrangements for its betterment as education must be first & foremost priority of any state. and I hope they remove all the learners who are making the school more corrupt. And we also need new teachers who are serious about their jobs not the ones we have.
Upon entering the school I felt as if I was running down a mountain, those scores that I used to get seem like a vague dream now.only a hand full of teachers actually teach.they always give speeches about substance abuse but they don't act up against.the school feels like it's self study sessions through out the entire year. The condition of the school is questionable.

My marks dropped drastically when I got there. There are just a few teachers who teach with passion. The school is corrupt and the teachers just don't care...the whole of the first term we didn't have textbooks and we don't even do art yet we have a sibject called Creative Arts. Let me not mention the Afrikaans teacher...they don't know what they are doing. In my opinion I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone
As soon as I got there my marks dropped and hardly got better! The knowledge you get is unlikely to stay with you. There are only a few teachers who are passionate about teaching and who can guarantee a distinction. If you want to go there, make sure you have a backbone and have a source of motivation because they don't encourage you there. Everything lies on you, it's all on you. There are no extra lessons so you'll have to sit and do 'not so well'or make a plan.
Glenbrack is such a "I don't care" school. The level of corruptness is very very high. The fields are not in a good condition. There's no sports in that school there is only soccer which was played like last year term 1.
The school is absolutely amazing, the school not only teaches children how to fit in but to be confident and creative and to be ready for the real world its challenges
Truth be told no one is perfect and the school makes sure that learners and educators are well taken care of and from the teachers to the helpers to the officials to the and most importantly the learners ,they try so hard to push each other to doing the right thing for a good CAUSE
