The school is a cult, and the academics are horrible.

As a former student I wouldn't bring my child here.

Academic issues (to name a few):

The schools academic standards is horrible. They have changed the curriculum multiple times throughout one year because they felt like it, and when the students struggle with the constant change it is blamed on the students.

Multiple teachers cannot teach/probably do not have a teaching licence. There is only about three good teachers in the highschool department, but even then they are heavily understaffed in the department. Multiple subjects have been changed to be ACE pace subjects.

The ACE system at the school is not executed properly at all. Students are left to their own devices with little to no help. When teachers are supposed to check the marking/scoring of a pace they do not.

The principals children are allowed to retake tests for the best possible scores while other students are not allowed to do so, they are allowed to score/mark these paces remotely (from home or on holiday) while other students are not allowed to.

The principals children get all the accolades, snubbing students who actually deserve to receive these accolades.

Social issues (what makes it a cult):

As someone of Christian faith, this institution has made question my faith. The principal has make some, quite frankly, sick claims/statements; ranging from the girls make themselves cheap to, and I wish I was making this up, quote : "r*pe is wrong but women shouldn't provoke men based on what they're wearing".
In a country where GBV is such a huge problem this is insane to me.

If you had to question anything that was said by him you would be victimised, you cannot question anything these people say.

The students have mental breakdowns on regular basis because of the environment. I've seen multiple people have panic attacks on a daily basis, I have been one of these people.

There is a racial bias at the school, students who are black are treated differently by certain staff, especially the black male students, who are made out to be trouble makers. When the black students, I being one of them, ask about why certain her rules can't be changed or slightly altered to accommodate our hair, we are continually shut down. Our hair is scrutinised simply because it exists.

The principal has more then once told people's personal problems infront of the whole school at assembly, he did not name them, however it is a small school and children gossip which is a huge problem.

The principal victimised people who speak out about any issues and will have some of his staff treat you badly, the highschool HOD being one of them.

No Seriousness about Academics

If you care about your child's academic future, in particular those in high school, do not send your child to Entheos Christian School.
This is not a school. It is a cult, a club, a social gathering, anything, but not a school, shame.

Narcissistic Culture Pervades at Entheos Christian School

A narcissistic culture pervades Entheos Christian School and it emanates from the office of the headmaster, Sir Dwain van Rensburg.
It is such a shame to have sent your children to a Christian school, only to find it devolving into something that resembles a cult.
Any concerns raised are ignored or you are given justifications that what they are doing is directed by God.
God is not the author of confusion, which is what reigns at that school, so clearly there is another spirit prevailing there.
May God have mercy on the children that are still in this toxic environment, and those parents who still have hope that things will improve, may God grant that it be so.

Do not recommend

Ok so let’s start of with the school is filled with favouritism. They only care about their name not about the students they make us feel less of a Christian and judge others based on their beliefs. They treat us like slaves. The principal holds a grudge on other student he makes us feel less than what we are worth. The school threatens children. They always tell us that they are out of stock with paces but they never are. Sometimes u will find his kids cheating and they won’t get in trouble but when it’s another student they get in trouble the school is also racist

DO NOT RECOMMEND

This school is very full of favoritism...all it cares about is its name and the principal only does things that benefit him and his family... the academics is a very confusing curriculum. Relegion is also forced onto the students which is not necessary ..The only thing nice there are the teachers ..who are very under appreciated. The whole school revolves around the principals children. I speak from experience as a former student. Principal only cares about the students that benefit him and the school. This school is absolutely RUBISH!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!

The principal is a vindictive, power-hungry person who gets pride and joy from tormenting children. He will do anything to tear you down if you don't follow his views and beliefs. As a former student, please do not go here, I have only bad memories of this school, except for my teachers who were fantastic. He, the principal, drove those teachers away because they were liked more. HIS TEACHERS DO NOT EVEN HAVE TEACHING LICENSES. He is delusional and greedy and he underpays his teachers. This is a toxic environment that forces religion onto students relentlessly. He uses scare tactics, public shaming and favouritism to get what he wants. I was a target of his abuse, he despised me for simply being who I was, so please, if you value your child's individualism, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. I would rate this a zero but I cant, so a one will have to do.

A very recent student

I came into the school on my second last year of Highschool. I had chosen to redo my gr 11 to improve my marks and chose to do it through Entheos. Many things happened but one thing I can guarantee that I have never found a school where I felt more at home than at Entheos.
The teachers and staff know each child on a personal level and go aboveand beyond when it comes to helping with any academic or life situation. Even when it felt like things felt less than ideal, no one (aspecially the principle) was against trying to find a solution or to make things easier for everyone. I had met some of the best people in my life there and would do it all over again if I had the choice.

In my experience, only those who took the school's kindness and generosity for granted, due to their own ignorance and blantant refusal to work for what they want, had something negative to say about the school.

I do (and forever will) love Entheos and will forever be thankful for the opportunities they have given me not just as a student hoping to become a scientist, but as a young adult striving for greatness.

do not send your kids here

if you love your kids and value their happiness and sense of self-worth, do not send them to this school... they will lose all sense of being themselves and will feel worthless.
I am a former student who was ridiculed, blamed, targeted and shamed by the PRINCIPLE and some staff members just for having different views and beliefs.
the teachers who care about students are sent away because the principal gets jealous of the teachers who the kids love and he gets rid of them.
all happiness is stripped away and the students are forced to work hard under teachers who don't even have teaching licenses! the classrooms are small and if your child is independent, headstrong, passionate, have other beliefs or religious preferences then they will be targeted and belittled as well as shamed.

please, for the sanity of your child, do not enrol them in this hellish school.

The school is practicing on a fround-upon unethical and diminishing basis. The school focuses on those families and students who actually bring finances to the table or who are friends with top management (the board). We the students are constantly emotionally blackmailed, and verbally bullied by staff especially the principal. Students are blaimed for management error, parents coming into the school for parent meetings (student feedback) are also guided on the wrong path and manipulated and a picture is painted that students are in the wrong. After many years it was finally known how the school operated.

The school uses a demerit system to punish students and students can choose a detention option, consisting out of 2 options- SITTING IN CLASS for a certain amount of time, or PHYSICAL HARD LABOUR by cleaning the premises.

The school also pushes students out of the way and requests them to leave the school at times. The school also lies about matric students going to certain universities or being successful, this was only noted once we as a family left the school.

The school also lost their ACE accreditation in 2015 and continued portraying that they are accredited, we only became aware of this once we contacted ACE Head Office about a complaint and we were informed they are not accredited and the school was supposed to let the students know. The school also invoices parents for paces and they held them back and told us the students and partents that paces are out of stock.

The department of education was also contacted. Make sure you are able to confirm accredited schools before attending.

Teachers who are loved by students, and who support students and look out for them are removed and the principal also tells students these teachers are not to be talked about. If you are not in their crowd they will find a way to get rid of you.

This school is not reccomended. Do your homework and contact former students and families.

The principal is a very good second hand car salesperson, and will sell anything to you at no cost. This school hides behind Christianity.

The principal defames students who leaves the school, the same with staff. Have a look at the staff turnover. 😉

We are a family who talks from personal experience. We were defamed and blamed, and this was confessed by current and former staff.

Look and see, listen and hear, and most importantly do your research.

the principle is the worst

the headmaster is very narcissistic and selfish. He runs the school like a vicious dictator, if I can give anyone advice don't send your kids to this school. They will be miserable because of the principle.

Most staff don't last a full year

Teachers are underpaid and overworked. Yet the principal and his family seem to live in luxury. Staff complaints are never acknowledged and department heads offer little support. Most teachers leave within a year of employment

Bad headmaster

The school’s headmaster is very hypocritical and he only ever acknowledges students he likes or students who benefit him or the school. All he cares about is his image and using our money to benefit himself and his family

Unmotivating

This school has made more negative than positive and makes the teachers cry every morning, the principal only rewards or acknowledge his own children or close friends children

NSC

Not good for student morale

The principal diminishes school morale by targeting students and discussing personal problems in front of the school. Most students feel worthless. Teachers are great though.

Unhappy Staff and Students.

It seems all the school cares about is its name, and not the people who make up the school. Self-esteem is often broken down and little is done to bring it back up. It also seems academics is all they care about, students as well as staff are pushed to a breaking point. Don't recommend.
