The art department is incredible but that's the only reason to go there.
The standards are too high and the school is not inclusive at all. There is an incredibly high percentage of lgbt learners however the school doesn't accommodate for them or acknowledge them at all.
This school is all about a flashy image, presenting a "100% pass rate" and good facilities when a deeper look tells us otherwise.
This school is notorious for never finishing the syllabus in time for exams, especially matruc exams. More time is spent on a handful of tests every week combined with exceptionally high standards.
This combination had resulted in the majority of learners developing mental health disorders and a poor quality of life in general. Surface level concern is shown about mental health by a slideshow or two when in actual fact girls are told to "suck it up" and "stop faking it". Many students have become physically sick from this treatment with an increasing amount of anxiety attacks and stress induced seizures.
The institute its self refuses to tackle controversial issues that continue to arise, such as racism, homophobia, and religious beliefs.
Creative subjects deemed "unacedemic" are often poorly funded while subjects like math and sciences are made to seem like the only ticket to a good future while being made extremely difficult, encouraging weaker learners to quit the subjects.
Countless issues and flaws are hidden under the image this school insisted on up holding regardless of the consequences on their own learners. This is not from personal experience but a general trend in answers from students.
The school is very academic. Even though there are days to have fun they are very limited and controlled. Overall a very good school if you want a Bachelor's pass in matric.
