Deutsche Schule Johannesburg

My son has been there for already 10 years and is now in grade 6. He wouldn’t want another school.

This school was my home for 5 years of high school which enabled me to grow. I grew up, from a young and immature girl into a mature and independent thinker when I walked out the doors of the German school finishing matric. This school accommodated me with my strange personality traits and welcomed me into an environment which I was able to integrate so easily. I would recommend this school for anyone to immerse into German language and South African culture because the schools adopts both. I am thankful for my teachers, and the people who have helped me in the journey and I will forever be grateful for all that they have done. This school will always be home and the place where I learned many different things. The facilities are incredible and the school is home to great teaching staff. The departments are well organised and the school excels academically, culturally and even in sports. Anyone would be blessed to be a part of the DSJ family, as I am. The school has a great cafeteria that provides an affordable healthy meal for lunch daily, everyone is lovely and the school promotes equality to all students. I’ve heard people hate school, but for me it was never that, I’ve always loved school and been fond of the great environment my teachers made it to be. 100% satisfied all round.
