I watched this girl fall from the top bunk bed in the hostel at headpoint and permanently break her arm. Her fall was so tragic she almost lost her life. She now walks around with a short crooked arm. The hostel bunk beds dont have railings on both sides and where there is a railing is short BARELY giving support . The beds arent safe dont let them lie to you. After that girls incident, they never mentioned it again or even tried to fix their bunk beds. Alot of parents arent aware that a learner have suffered alot of damage due to the hostel beds. CURRO ACADEMY MAHIKENG HOSTEL IS DANGEROUS FOR LEARNERS.Poor management, do better.

This school is not what it claims to be especially for the hostel kids. Hostel kids suffer mentally and physically. Hostel learners can go wake up in the morning with no water to bathe with learners are forced to go to school weather you are sick or not. We eat rice and chicken almost everyday and there was o ce when a learner found a fly in her food and she was told to throw it away. We have limited time to talk to our parents everyday, we are treated as if we don't have feelings and when we tell our parents and our parents report to the hostel manager MPUMI KATANE ahead then tells our hostel parent without hearing a side of your story you get shouted at for telling your parents about your wellbeing hostel kids suffer because of everything kids end up having suicidal thoughts because when they tell their parents they won't let then change schools or even listen to them about what is going on in hostel,hostel learners are not allowed to socialize with day scholars after school we are supposed to goto the dining hall and then go to hostel if you seen socializing with one you get punished, we also get punished for small things like farting. Hostel kids are mostly depressed because of the bad treatment we get from their hostel parents and how they act nice in front of our parents the shed evils of the hostel DINEO MOTEKETEKE, TSHIDI KGOTLE AND MIKKIE SESINYI

So before I start my rant, hey parents, hey hostel kids especially Ela Mutonga. I used to be a hostel kid in like 2021 and let me be truly honest when I say tht the hostel parents nor manager care abt the wellbeing of the hostel students. They are treated badly, these kids fr cry everyday wanting to go home n stuff, hostel parents in advertisements act like they r the perfect fit BUT NOPE , students get shamed, get punished for silly things, and most of these rules ruin their mental health for godsake and parents still don't realise what we've been through. No catering for lactose intolerant ppl, vegans, vegetarians all we have is chicken n rice 24/7 . Is it rlly worth it being in a school like this:/

at all, the staff members here are not

friendly as they claim to be in the advertisements, infact they're MEAN When a learner does bad in a test, instead of the teacher helping the student,the teacher will make fun of the student Infront of the class and they expect students to be bright leaders This curro is GHETTO and it's honestly overrated

The hostel learners are the ones that suffer the most but they are the ones who pay the most, most hostel learners are honestly depressed and drained by the treatment they get from this instution The food at hostel is BAD,They serve the same food everyday

Sometimes the hostel learners bathe with cold water, sometimes water doesn't come out at all.

As a parent how would you feel knowing that your child went to school for 6hr+ without bathing in the morning,and then they preach about hygiene Hostel learners ARE IN PRISON

LITERALLY!!!!!!!!!!

They don't get the freedom they deserve

They are emotionally and mentally exhausted from the bad treatment they get from the hostel parents

They get punished for STUPID little mistakes

They can't express themselves because of

the tight rules they make Hostel kids are not allowed to socialize with the opposite gender As for the hostel manager:MPUMI KATANE, I hate you and all the hostel parents that has me feel like shit...y'all are disgusting,sies mahn

Honestly as a student from this GHETTO SCHOOL IM EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY EXHAUSTED

As a current hostel student in this school I say I'm not scared to voice my opinion about this school, we feel as though we are prisoners....but compared to this prisoners have it better.The hostel manager MPUMI KATANE does not let us voice our opinions...she is the reason why many of us want to leave this place .The favoritism has me to my limits, you literally get scolded at for telling to your parents about your well being . For a curro school , this is overrated. We get punished for one person's deeds ...we not aloud to socialize with the opposite gender. You are judged based on past . You get scolded at for farting. There is so much more to say about this school but I dont think that this review is gonna reach the right people.
The SheDevils of these this school :Dineo Moteketeke,Mpumi Katane and Mikkie Sesinyi...these disgusting gossip mongers..
I remember this one time when one of Dineo Moteketeke's favorites in the had hostel lost her skirt [given by dineo],she threatened to ransack our lockers and suitcases keep in mind...when an ordinary hostel learner looses her things , nothing is done about it
Even when you're sick...you're unnoticed and ignored, you're brushed off at the office when complaining that your sick is becoming hard to bare
I just hope something is changed about this school after I've left
I have valuables staying behind....I need them in good hands
Don't take your child there!
