Crawford Preparatory Lonehill

Any organization with a high staff turnover is cause for concern and teachers who are under duress are unlikely to take care of students adequately. This campus is also run like a public school while other campuses are beautiful and thriving. Where are the school fees going? I have found inconsistencies in the handling of serious matters by the management of this school and outright lies being told between staff and parents. There is no integrity in management who seem to be putting out fires on a regular basis. The school code of conduct is ignored while parents get to run the school. My child was on bonding tour where a bus broke down and the kids were stranded for 6 hours through lunch time with no food. It was other parents who notified me of this since cellphones were not allowed but one student kept theirs and notified their parents, this is how we received the news. Issues of racism and bullying are not dealt with properly and are swept under the carpet. I am removing my child at the end of Term 1 2025, my husband and I have had enough. We will take our money elsewhere.

Some of the school's teachers cannot teach. It effects the kids and their marks.

Great academics and teachers are devoted to improving students, not only academically but emotionally as well. This has helped me grow into the student I am today and can say without a doubt that Crawford has made my transition into a first year Stellenbosch student as easy as it can be.

During my five years at the high school, I experienced bullying amongst the teachers. They also refuse to award or recognize any students who represent South Africa internationally or students who perform exceptionally well academically as you will come to notice the students who are recognized at valediction aren’t necessarily the top students you’ll see in the newspapers after Matric. Perhaps this is because Crawford Lonehill choose to praise the same students over and over again.
