Buccleuch Primary School

Bad experience with Patience Phiri - rude, abrupt and speaks down to people as if they are idiots. Not very helpful and makes excuses when follow ups are made on query requests, should be apologising for her bad work ethics instead of being rude.

Buccleuch primary is where I was in primary school from grade R to 7. It has good morals and a good discipline. I was happy to be in Buccleuch Primary and grateful to be a part of it. When a child was doing something wrong he/she would be punished and held accountable, like me in some situations. The only thing is the facilitates need to be refurbished to get to former glory.

I’m a ongoing student at this school, it was a very excellent school which teaches very valuable aspects of life. My very big issue is that this school does not look into who they hire, at this point it honestly feels like he hire anybody and everybody. The teachers will constantly pick on students of colour. Keep in mind that he was Indian. I remember a time where a boy was blankly saying how he hates black people and how we should die. I told him that he was so wrong and racist for saying that, this was at break time so the news spread very quickly. Another boy, also Indian said that the other boys actions were wrong, we reported to a teacher and the boy was concluded as a victim, he lied and said I was talking bad about his race, (when I wasn’t, I had about 6 witnesses and we all told the complete truth) This school needs to take student confessions seriously.

I am now a grade 11 student and I used to be here from grade 1 to 7. It's an amazing school. Focuses on academics and sports and helps too. It sets a great foundation on morals that helped me in life. Thank you BPS for making me a better person.

Buccleuch Primary School is where my twin boys are building their foundation. I was taken aback by the way they take disciplinary very serious. Every action has consequences and you will be held accountable. This has been assisting in molding great gentlemen and myself. Hard work is put into fund raising and charity work which is something close yo my heart. The teachers are very wet and possess great communication skills and etiquette. Well invested in children wellbeing and are constantly updating information on their background and conduct group and individual counseling. An active lifestyle is promoted and healthy eating lifestyle. In overall I'm impressed by how the school is run.
