I am thrilled to share my positive review about Mrs. Phillips and the RCL Executive's initiative to create a Valentine's Magazine in collaboration with the Grade 8 students. This project not only brought joy and excitement but also fostered a sense of connection and love between the learners.
Firstly, I commend Mrs. Phillips for her outstanding leadership and guidance throughout the entire process. Her dedication and organization ensured that everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Her passion for encouraging student involvement and creativity was truly inspiring.
The idea of allowing students to pay a fee to write messages to someone they love or have a crush on, with the guarantee of it being delivered on Valentine's Day, was brilliant. It created an atmosphere of anticipation and love among the students. It was heart-warming to witness the happiness and surprise on their faces as they received their messages.
Moreover, involving the RCL Executive in writing short messages to the school was a wonderful touch. It not only showcased their leadership skills but also allowed them to express their gratitude and appreciation for their fellow students. This gesture strengthened the sense of unity and belonging within the school.
Lastly, selling the magazine to the learners was a great way to raise funds for future projects while also providing them with a keepsake to cherish. It was a win-win situation for everyone involved.
In conclusion, Mrs. Phillips, along with the RCL Executive and Grade 8 students, deserves high praise for their efforts in creating the Valentine's Magazine. This initiative brought joy, love, and a sense of community within the school. I am grateful for their dedication and the positive impact they made on our children's lives.
It's my first year at Allen Glen highschool and IM LOVING the school. Most of the teachers are supportive, caring and encouraging. But there is is one teacher, who is racist, rude and intolerant. BUT apart from that I HIGHLY recommend the school.
Allen Glen is one of the best school. if your not in the school why you talking cause you don't know what goes in there . Yes some children fall pregnant ,smoke but go to any highschool and you get a group doing that . you can't give a bad review about alen Glen from the things you have heard . they are teachers who care infact all the teachers care. yes the bathrooms may be dirty but that's because of all the kids who smoke . you can't blame the school for the children's actions . yeah most people become pregnant and that's because of they bad examples other places . what you teach your child at home is how they come and represent your family at school if you don't go to allen Glen Don't bad mouth it.allen Glen teachers know how to handle themselves and the learners.
Consumer studies classrooms are not fixed for the past year ,some children still don’t have teachers, teachers work at a slow pace ,principal even teaches because their aren’t a lot of teachers available.Bathrooms look disgusting , there was a fundraiser made for the bathrooms to be redone but nothing has been done.
AGHS is a very wonderful school and has very good teachers and helps learners find their future selves at a very young age I would recommend the school 100%there is no racism whatsoever AGHS has always had 100% matric pass rate
The school is the best but then there’s this one racist teacher, she’s white and she’s the worst. The kids there are the worst, they are so naughty and almost everyone sleeps with one another and smokes weed. When you are new, everyone will pressure you to do bad things and you will only notice later on how much of a mess you are.
In 2019, December one of the consumer classroom rooves fell in and nothing was done about it... Fine as the year progresses and during covid even more damage was done and still nothing was done. When the time arrived for us to return to school most learners we left to fend for themselves with no classes to be taught in, we had no teachers to teach us and had to self study most of the work. When we ask for help we were denied and deprived of our right to a quality education. The teachers that do come to school are pathetic and rude to most learners. They demand respect with force, rude remarks, and they make us feel like we are worth nothing. The principal is nowhere to be seen and does not do her job. Since I've been in Allen Glen I don't think I've been with a teacher that actually cares about the learners and their lives. Oh and the entire building is now closed because it's unstable and not safe for students. I doubt it would be fixed when we get back next year.
The school has passionate teachers and a warm and friendly environment. Having been to the school for 5 years I am truly walking out stronger than I came in. The way the school dealt with the covid 19 predicament was exceptional and highlights the schools great operating and discipline system. Teach your child to be wise and Allen Glen will be the best place for them. "If you want to be real cool don't forget the golden rule. Do as you would be done by. Look your friend right in the eye."
