It's a good school where there is a nice integration of learners. There are the locals from the area, wallacedene, Somalis from Bellville and few others from areas like elsies river. The secular education is at a fair level. The Islamic studies education is rather poor. There is one Mualimah employed across the entire foundation phase for Islamic studies (social science). She teaches from grade R, Grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3. And the learners are at disadvantage especially since there is not enough time to get through the work for the term or year. Those parents are working and cant assist their children. The school is based on the masjid premises. There is a new building coming up but Islamic education cannot take a back seat due to funds being moved for this project. This year many parents of last years grade R has sent their children to other schools because the Islamic studies offered has been deficient for a while and parents felt they can send their children just as well to another school. Safety in the morning is an issue. There is no adult supervision outside to watch as the children are coming into school from their transport vehicles.
